Customer experience is also a real concern as network outages can compound the impact of sudden load spikes that cause buffering or massive stream failures. Relying on multiple CDNs to deliver video is popular approach to mitigating those issues. This session will discuss how manifest manipulation can improve this model by dynamically and seamlessly redirecting client media requests across CDNs to provide more agile management of CDN resources and avoid customer impact. |

DOCSIS 3.1 provides a powerful set of tools that can be used to increase capacity beyond the “bare bones” 2x2 OFDMxOFDMA blocks. Today’s DAA solutions can deliver 3, 4, or 5 OFDM blocks, and new DOCSIS CPEs enable MSOs to deliver 10 Gbps to the home without going to DOCSIS 4.0 or PON. In this session, we’ll discuss how this approach allows operators to save time, CAPEX and reduce time to market, and out-compete FTTH. |
