10 - VTM Service Groups

Welcome to VTM Service Groups. This training provides an overview of the Service Group types (Broadcast, Narrowcast, Downstream OOB and Upstream OOB) used to provision and configure a VUE system with MPTSs and channels targeted for RxDs based on some criteria (Ad Zone, location, etc.). This module takes approximately 55 minutes to complete.
The following VTM Service Groups information is covered in this course:
- Define Service Group's primary functions and the four Service Group types (Broadcast, Narrowcast, Downstream OOB, and Upstream OOB).
- Describe the Service Group Mappings (UDP Mapping, PassThru Mapping, PID Mapping, and Automap).
- Explain how to add and configure Broadcast, Narrowcast, Downstream OOB Service Groups using the VTM UI.
- Explain how to add and configure an Upstream OOB Service Group using the VTM UI. Describe monitoring Service Group status at the Transport Steam and RPD channel levels.
- Review how to Export/Import Service Groups as CSV File.
